TREE DRAW

Tree Draw is a powerful chart making tool that produces excellent clear Descendant and Ancestor charts, which can include photographs. It is possible to combine several different charts together to make a chart that covers all your ancestors. The only real limit is your imagination

There are two different versions of this programme, one of which is specifically designed to work with Legacy and the other works with Kith & Kin and other programmes.

1.Complete your chart with all the details that you wish to include including colours photographs etc.

 2. Under the file menu select the option to save a copy of the chart that you have displayed. (To find the size of your chart in version 3 - with the ruler displayed point the arrow at the bottom right hand corner of your chart and the size will be displayed. If you are using version 2 or earlier, the best option that I can give is select an A4 page size and count the number of pages along and down {An A4 is 8.27” x 11.69”} this will give you a rough size with which to calculate the cost).

 3. By performing the preceding operation you will be presented with a screen as shown above, select your floppy disk drive and save the file to a disk which you can send with your order.  If you are intending to send it by e-mail, follow the steps above but save to your hard drive remembering its name and location then attach that file to the e-mail. ( If you don’t get a response from me to let you know that I have received your attachment please check as the virus blocker plus the firewall can sometimes kill off attachments without me knowing where they came from).

If you have any problems look at Prepare to send in the help menu which explains how to ensure that your pictures are included etc.

If you do not have this programme but would like a chart made from it follow the instructions for Gedcom files.

How to send your chart file to Acorns2oaks

Print a copy of the order form and send it by post to Acorns2oaks with the chart on a 3.5 disk, a CD or a 100MB zip disc or follow the instructions on the Postal Order Form on how you can send the chart via the internet.
